A Chinese couple at an European bar was slightly inebriated. They headed for the restrooms but stopped right outside and deliberated. Feeling tipsy and not knowing much English, they looked at each other and proceeded to the ladies.
Question: Why did the Chinese couple go to the ladies together?
Answer: Because the sign said “Women”, which when read in pinyin meant “” or “we”. So they thought, “What the heck, that’s us!” and went right in.

I read about this one some 30 years ago but haven’t been able to come close to its pure play with word sounds. Maybe you’d like to try your hand at creating one?
Question: What is the difference between a woman in a church and a woman in a bathtub?
Answer: One has hope in the soul and the other has soap ……
I hope no one takes offence as these are just (wicked?) riddles for a WittyCulus laugh 😉
