Step-by-Step Replay of Wordle 231 Puzzle

Guess #1

Yesterday I TRIED Wordle Archive for the first time and played Wordle puzzle #1. So yeah, we have one 5-letter word right there to try lol.

Guess #2

No help there with just a single clue from the T. I’m inclined to test words like STAMP or STACK, but looking to include an O or U as well… How about SHOUT instead?

Guess #3

O (in the middle of the word) and T with an intervening space, but no R? Hmm that leaves the possibility of A to fill that space, without thinking too much. In a flash, I saw FLOAT as worth a shot…

Guess #4

No prizes doing a transpose here 🙂 ALOFT it is!

Mark's gameplay for Wordle 231
Again, logical deduction paid dividends — Wordle 231 took the usual 4 steps

Effort put into logical deduction can pay off well.

In today’s game, the O_T sequence was worth looking into, though I stopped short at the A. Knowing that letters R and U weren’t present helped lots; but I could have spotted the F if I did dig further.

Question is, would I have entered ALOFT as the third guess to complete Wordle 231 sooner by one move?

Without much historical data to fall on, I can’t really say the game favours uncommon words. But we did see an answer like SHARD from a previous puzzle, when SHARP or SHARK are familiar words (to most people I reckon).

Perhaps that was an one-off case; or it could be hinting at something lol.

Wordle experts out there, what do you think?
